Nature Spirituality Facilitator (SEGH 000)

About the Course

Our Nature Spirituality Facilitator program is a yearlong journey that trains you to become a ceremonial guide for yourself and for others. The heart of it is simple, you learn to reconnect with the land, you learn to track the living cycles of the earth, and you learn to help other people do the same through ceremony, presence, and awareness.

Nature spirituality is a return to the old ways of our long lost ancestors, and a healing response to technological civilization. We work with practices that showed up early across all cultures, and we treat them as part of a shared human inheritance that links us all. The goal is a real shift in your relationship with the earth. Awaken to the earth in one year, then keep that connection alive as a way of being that changes how you and others relate to land, place, and season.

The course stays non-denominational and open to any background. You do not have to join a path or adopt an identity. Christians, Buddhists, and anyone else can fold this work into what they already believe and practice. Beginners fit here, experienced people fit here, and you learn everything you need inside the course.

Over the year you learn to feel the natural world as alive and spiritually present. You learn to sense the living presence of the land and of all living things. You learn what it means to live in constant communion with the earth, and you build a relationship with the life force that moves through all things. As that relationship strengthens you learn to harmonize with the living cycles of the earth at a spiritual level.

You will connect with the wheel of the year (the eight ancient festivals that marked the turning of the seasons) and celebrate and attune with the year's powerful shifting energies as they arrive. You will also learn ceremonies you can use any time to connect with the earth and land for empowerment and clarity. Ultimately, you will be more connected with the Earth and its living cycle through celebration, attunement, energetic empowerment, and sacred ceremony.

Reciprocity runs through everything. You learn to treat all living things with reverence, including what you eat. You learn to establish symbiosis and reciprocity with nature and the land, so the relationship becomes mutual and lived rather than abstract.

Ancestor connection is part of the training too. The work is cross cultural, anyone can take this course and connect with the ancient ways of their ancestors, and you learn to reach out to ancestors for guidance and help as a practical support for your path.

The pacing of the course is designed to match the seasons. The course stretches across the year so you have time to actually feel the energies of the land change. We sync the training material to when you begin, so you receive guidance for each wheel of the year point prior to the date.

By the end you will feel the difference in your connection with the earth, and you will be fully prepared to lead powerful ceremonies of connection for both yourself and for others.

12 Main Lessons (and 8 Seasonal Lessons)

Lesson 1

Foundations of Animism and Connecting with Life Force

Lesson one brings you into real contact with the living world. You explore animism as a shared human way of relating to nature that is present in the early history of all cultures, and you train your awareness to feel the living presence of the land and of all living things. From there the work moves into direct experience of the life force that moves through all things. You learn to meditate with the earth to meet its life force and build a stable relationship with the greater field of living spirit, and you begin harmonizing with the living cycles of the earth at a spiritual level.

Lesson 2

Seasonal Ceremony Part 1, The Wheel of the Year

Lesson two makes the Wheel of the Year something you can actually live with. Solstices and equinoxes become the main anchors, and the four cross-quarter days fill out the seasonal rhythm. The focus stays on learning the feel of each turning, noticing how the energy shifts as the season changes, and connecting with these energies for empowerment. You will also learn core skills for holding sacred ceremonies.

Lesson 3

Seasonal Ceremony Part 2, The Celestial Clock

Lesson three expands your sense of spiritual timing by adding the celestial rhythms that are reflected on Earth. The astrological year becomes another map of time and meaning that you can weave into seasonal work, and the cycles of the moon become a second rhythm that shapes ceremony and personal practice. You will also learn how to connect with lunar cycles to harmonize and attune with their energies.

Lesson 4

Heart-Centered Communication with Nature

Lesson four builds the spiritual relationship skills that make this path come alive. Heart-centered communication with nature becomes a practical skill set, supported through intuition-based communion with the land. Listening, responding, and staying present in our relationship with the land and nature provides you with the key communication that supports ceremony, offerings, and ongoing connection.

Lesson 5

Reverence, Symbiosis, and Reciprocity

Lesson five brings the path into everyday life. You explore treating all living things with reverence, including what you eat, and you learn symbiosis and reciprocity as the ethical backbone of earth spirituality. Gifts, offerings, and reciprocity become a living exchange with nature and the local spiritual ecosystem, and the lesson prepares you for a reciprocal relationship with the spirits of the land.

Lesson 6

Spirits of the Land

Lesson six looks at the spirits of the land. Their existence is a shared pattern across human traditions, with land spirits found across many cultures, including Celtic, Native American, and Buddhist traditions. In essence, these beings are "consciousness embedded within the landscape", with which we can interact and communicate. They have gone by many names, including nature spirits, fairies, elementals, and the little people. The aim of this lesson stays practical, translating these perspectives into applied techniques and practices for building a real relationship with the spirits of the land, one based in mutual respect and ongoing reciprocity, creating a lasting and positive connection.

Lesson 7

Sacred Space, Sacred Sites, and Energetic Protection

Lesson seven teaches you how to set the ground for ceremony. You learn to create sacred space in temporary forms for ceremony, and in permanent forms for ongoing practice. You design sacred sites for connection in ways that fit real life and real places. You will also learn to add energetic protection for sacred spaces, as well as how to consecrate space and bless it.

Lesson 8

Earth Energies, Power Places, and Ceremony Location

Lesson eight focuses on where ceremony happens, and why it matters. You learn how to identify earth energy lines and places of power for ceremonial purposes, tend to these sites, and explore what makes a place supportive for connection, offerings, group ceremony, and solo practice. You will discover how to locate earth energies using dowsing and intuition in order to find suitable places for practice, amplifying your connection with the land and the living field of nature, and learning how to select and tend those locations over time.

Lesson 9

Ancestors, Guidance, and Ancestral Altars

Lesson nine builds ancestral connection in a way that fits modern life while staying rooted in older patterns. You will learn to create an ancestral altar that becomes a practical point of contact, and that sustains an ongoing relationship rather than being a one-time gesture. You will discover how anyone can connect with the ancient wisdom of their ancestors. Practices include reaching out to ancestors for guidance and help, then bringing that guidance into ceremony and daily life.

Lesson 10

Archetypal Energies

Lesson ten explores ancient myth from a comparative mythology standpoint, and uses it to deepen spiritual language and relationship. Themes such as the dying and rising embodiment of nature, the earth mother, the sky father, and related archetypes are studied as patterns that appear across cultures. These are archetypal beings that exist in a real way as structures of consciousness within the etheric realms, with which we can interact and communicate. These beings are different faces of nature's various powers, and you will train the skills for establishing connection and reciprocity with them. You will be encouraged to establish a connection with one archetype that calls to you.

Lesson 11

Connecting to the Land Through Gardening and Living Systems

Lesson eleven brings the work down into the soil and into daily rhythms. Practices include connection to nature through gardening. Permaculture is explored as a way of working with living systems in reciprocity, and rewilding is explored as part of a personal and cultural healing process. Your home and local landscape become a lived classroom for reverence, reciprocity, and relationship with the land and nature.

Lesson 12

Guiding Groups, Passage Work, and Living a Fulfilling Earth-Rooted Life

Lesson twelve wraps up the full training into a coherent path that can be lived and shared. Group facilitation becomes part of the work through learning how to guide a group in ceremonial work. You will take on the role of a steward of nature by learning to help animals and other beings of nature whose lives have ended to pass over and be reintegrated into the web of life. The course closes by exploring many small life changes that can lead to a more fulfilling life that works directly with the living energies of the earth and its life force, and the ancient energies that surround you.

Eight Additional Seasonal Lessons

These eight additional lessons are sent to you based on the time of year. Whenever you start the course, you will receive the next seasonal lesson before the upcoming wheel of the year day (solstices, equinoxes, or cross-quarter days), so you can prepare in advance and practice in real time. This means you will never have to wait until the following year to begin working with the wheel!

Each seasonal lesson prepares you for the ceremonial practices for that turning. Every lesson includes an orientation to the energies of the season, exercises to help you connect with these energies, ideas for celebrations and festivities, and ceremonies designed for solo practice or for guiding a group.
